Sheri Lou Originals makes ethnic inspired purses, pillows, interior furnishings and clothing. These one-of-a-kind pieces are made from natural fibers, including re-purposed leather, cotton, authentic African mud cloth and kuba cloth, and accented with bronze and bone bead findings.
We create one-of-a-kind, original fiber art from natural materials. Each piece is handmade with close attention to detail. As with all handmade materials, slight variations and natural blemishes in the finish and color are possible, and not considered a defect or product flaw. Color variations may occur in the production process and may not be an exact match with the item pictured. Such variations on surfaces are inherent in the handmade process. Natural variations are what make each item charming and unique.
About Sheri Lou. A native Angeleno, Sheri began exhibiting her talents at age five and by high school was exploring her passion for fashion, sewing and fine art. At Woodbury University she majored in fashion design and construction. Through divine intervention, her fashion design career blossomed into a graphic design career, specializing in fashion layouts. Sheri worked for Macy's, Lorimar Pictures, JC Penny's and many other retail chains
She furthered her studies at the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco where she thrived in the Northern California artist community.
After starting a family, Sheri decided to go into business for herself. She launched under the name Rtistic Designs, and got her start by selling stenciled afrocentric t-shirts at local farmer's markets.
